Launching this Thursday at 11 pm is the long-awaited return of the cult classic horror anthology series, "THE HUNGER." Originally airing from 1997 to 2000, this series promises to reignite the terror with its captivating blend of eroticism, horror, and the macabre. Viewers can expect a gripping array of tales ranging from eerie encounters at carnivals to forbidden romances with vampires, all presented with a stellar cast featuring familiar faces such as Timothy Spall, Daniel Craig, Margot Kidder, and Amanda De Cadenet. Executively produced by none other than Ridley Scott, the first series will be hosted by the esteemed Terence Stamp.
Friday nights are no less spine-tingling with NYX UK's exploration into Euro exploitation horror. Joining the lineup is the channel premiere of Jean Rollin’s "THE DEMONIACS," a haunting concoction of sensuality, the supernatural, and psychological torment, promising to ensnare viewers in its dark embrace.
As International Women’s Day approaches on March 9th, NYX UK pays homage with the streaming premiere of "DARK TOUCH," Marina de Van’s harrowing supernatural tale set in Ireland, delving into themes of haunting trauma and family tragedy.
The terror doesn't end there as NYX UK celebrates the birthday of horror maestro David Cronenberg on March 15th with a double bill featuring two of his classic masterpieces, "RABID" and "SHIVERS," both renowned for their exploration of body horror, surrealism, and sexual exploration.
But the thrills don't stop with the classics. This month brings two more channel premieres to NYX UK. Brian De Palma's 1973 thriller "SISTERS" promises a riveting narrative of suspense, identity, and madness, featuring the incomparable Margot Kidder in a memorable dual role. Meanwhile, "GRIMM LOVE," directed by Martin Weisz, plunges audiences into the harrowing depths of human depravity and obsession, inspired by the unsettling true story of Armin Meiwes, the German cannibal.
And for those who crave more horror delights, Wednesday nights bring the resurrection of the iconic horror hostess Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, in "ELVIRA’S MOVIE MACABRE," starring Cassandra Peterson. Plus, FrightFest Saturday Scares with Alan Jones continues to delight with discussions on beloved horror films, including the chilling classic "THE BOOGEY MAN" (1980).
